Pet Etiquette
We just enjoyed the first beautiful snowfall here at Grady’s. The grounds of the property have been transformed into a winter wonderland, and the nearby ski slopes are busy getting ready to welcome their first guests for the season. We hope you will come visit us this winter and take advantage of all that this part of Maine has to offer for winter activities. Even with all this on our minds, we are busy planning for an incredible summer in 2022! As you are planning your summer vacations, Mark and I wanted to share our policies regarding pets at Grady’s. As we have experienced already with our "grand dog", Marshall, and his best buddy, Pippi, Grady’s West Shore Motel is the ideal spot for vacationing with your friendly dog. Not only do we love dogs, the property is also the perfect place for your dog to have a fun filled vacation. The grounds have plenty of space for chasing a ball, and the shallow beach is perfect for aquatic minded pooches. And what pooch doesn’t love a boat ride!? Please read over the following to see if your canine family member would enjoy a vacation at Grady’s.
- You must notify us that you will be bringing your dog on your visit to Grady’s West Shore Motel. We don’t charge any additional fees (outside of our regular deposit) for our canine visitors but do need to know if your dog will be with you.
- We welcome clean, friendly dogs to Grady’s. Aggressive dogs would not enjoy the atmosphere so please make other arrangements for them. Keep in mind that there might be children and other dogs on the property. If you have concerns about how your dog might behave in that environment, please do not bring them.
- First time canine visitors must remain leashed on the property. If they demonstrate the ability to not go wandering onto the surrounding properties, exceptions may be made.
- Only dogs who will not bark, cry, or scratch the door may be left alone in the rooms.
- The beautiful property at Grady’s is well-maintained. We strive hard to keep the lawn looking as lush as possible during the summer months. Please do not attempt to help us with that by allowing your dog to add additional fertilizer. Pick up after your pooch.
If you and your dog can follow these guidelines, we would love to have you visit at Grady’s! One final note: Only dogs are welcome at Grady’s; No other pets are allowed. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email us at: stay@gradys.com or call (207) 803-2046.
