The Bridgton Community Band
I (Mark) was an Air Force saxophonist for 23 years and continue to freelance in the Boston area, so naturally I’m curious to discover the music and arts scene around the Bridgton area. A simple Google search on Bridgton brought me to bridgtonmaine.org, a very informative and well put together site. To my happy surprise I discovered the link to the Bridgton Community Band, a 35-piece wind group with a long proud history of entertaining town folks and summer visitors. Like the audiences, the members are made up of a mix of local residents and out of towners. They come together each summer to perform in roughly a dozen free performances at the Bridgton Bandstand as well as the Library Courtyard.
